A Snow Day Hurray!

This will be quick. I have had a great weekend so far. My weekend actually ends on Saturday because my DH goes back to work on Sundays. Friday I got a lot of food shopping done, and get this I did not buy any extra food that was not on my list. The only extra I got was a insulation bag at Costco for 6.99 and I know it will come in handy for sure with the kids when we travel. Go ME!! Friday I had my hair done by my mother's friend and it turned out great. I really like it a lot. After that is when I did all my food shopping. I hate food shopping so I try and only do it every 2 weeks. Minus bread and milk. I wanted to make sure we had most of the shopping done before today because we were not going to be able to do it today.

We took the kids and met some friends/neighbors about 30 min outside Payson where it snows. DH and I take the kids once a year to the snow. We had a great time and found a great place off the side of the road. Some places you have to pay per car load, but that to me is a joke if we are not going to stay there for a long period of time. Anyways, when we first got there, there was a crazy steep hill that my DH went on and hurt himself, but not too bad, he was able to get up and walk after wards. Stupid me thinks " Hey I want to slide down that hill". So I did and bit the crap out of my lip after hitting a huge dip. Good thing we were near snow so I could put some on my lip to make sure it did not swell. My oldest son went down a couple of time and never even broke a sweat. Most of the kiddos enjoyed it. Well, besides my daughter Livi. She was just tired and cold. Otherwise the kids did great in the car there and back. It was so nice to get out of the house and not spend a fortune.

Came home later this evening and we hung out with our friends again and had a bonfire and then later some poker (came in 2nd place at my table) I was the only girl so again GOOOOO ME!!! I love the little neighborhood we live in. We get along with all the neighbors we know and never have had a problem. Our kids play together and we help each other out when we can. We usually do the snow thing with their family and ours. But his wife was gone on a retreat this weekend. :( But I still had a blast, fat lip and all. Feeling much better the last couple of days. Especially since I got my hair done. DH and Carson got their hair cut too. Javi;s haircut is next weekend hopefully. He wants a mohawk, but we will see how that goes.
